The Power Of The Dog [Movie Review]

Charismatic rancher Phil Burbank inspires fear and awe in those around him. When his brother brings home a new wife and her son, Phil torments them until he finds himself exposed to the possibility of love.

The Power Of The Dog film is a psychological drama that brings a twist in the mix where in one point you can be ok i know where you are going to I didn’t expect that coming. What a way to tell a story and as well how the director could keep us thinking throughout the whole film what is gonna happen next.

Having an amazing and outstanding cast bringing to life all these characters and the performance of Benedict was mesmerizing. Having all of the cast bring their full potential to show us this story and having that ending.

One can mention as well the visuals of this film con tinplate fully with the storyline and how small details can give you more information for each character. As well their development in a whole. For example their is a scene that you have Kristens Dunst do something out of the blue to hurt or insult the respect of Benedicts character that complements a-lot to the story.

One thing that i can differ with the Director of the film is that they could’ve gone a little more risky on the sense of the meaning of the film. Because their is more to this film than what you thing when you see this film.

The Power Of The Dog is more than a phycological drama. Where you stay on the edge of the seat and just invest your energy to see what is going to happen next. Jane Campion did amazing job bringing this story to life.
