Friday, May 6th- Netflix Is a Joke: The Festival kicked off with Amy Schumer taking over the Hollywood Palladium for two sets of her side splitting Parental Advisory show. A hilarious lineup followed including Lil Rel Howery, Chris Distefano, Christina P, Ron Funches, Rachel Feinstein, andJaye McBride. Each comedian had the crowd in hysterics with their own personal take on parenthood.

Legendary late night host David Letterman returned to the stage for two shows at The Fonda Theatre where he invited some of his new favorite comics to perform and then sit down for a one-of-a-kind interview. Guests included Rosebud Baker, Phil Wang, and Sam Morril.

Ahead of his historic sold-out show at Dodger Stadium, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias took to the stage for an intimate second show featuring Martin Moreno, Alfred Robles, G Reilly, Ismo and more. Fluffy Fest, a fan-focused tailgate experience, also kicked off in the parking lot prior to the show, featuring a wide variety of Fluffy-themed activities. Joining Fluffy Fest yesterday was Senior Awards Editor Clayton Davis (Variety), Councilmember Gil Cedillo (District 1), CA State Assemblywoman Wendy Carrillo (51st District), CA State Senator Maria Elena Durazo (District 24), and LA County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis (First District) who presented Gabriel with a proclamation ceremony to honor the historic show.

Over at Troubadour, ex-Daily Show colleagues and current arch nemeses Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng finally tried to destroy one another in a duel headlining show.

The night also included a performance by comedian, actor, musician and five-time Grammy and Emmy nominee Margaret Cho who kept the crowd at The Wiltern laughing all night long.
