The Lost City [Movie Review]

A reclusive romance novelist on a book tour with her cover model gets swept up in a kidnapping attempt that lands them both in a cutthroat jungle adventure.

The Lost City film having a some big names in the film industry this film is just a very simple plot and a feeling of straight to DVD vibes film.

Even thou this film has Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum and Daniel Radcliffe even with their star power this films plot line is very bland. The story feels light not as big as we can say Miss Congeniality (2000).

You can tell that the cast had fun but still the feel of the film just like if it was made just to be screened at you house in your favorite streaming service. This film didn’t bring anything new to the table even story wise.

When you try to make a Romance/Action adventure/comedy film in the mix it can work but with The Lost City it didn’t work out. Having Daniel Radcliffe as the main villain was not the best choice plus making Channing Tatum the same character again and again is not good.

I have a feeling that this film was to bring back what The Mummy was giving us with the Comedy and adventure. But when you go ahead and analyze both of them their is a difference between having your story fully based on the adventure and mystery than having two plot lines running at the same time.

The Lost City still has its moments when you laugh and just enjoy the film. But still i would say that this film could’ve been better just being a streaming service acquired film than having a theater release.
