Mother/Android [Movie Review]

In a post-apocalyptic world rocked by a violent android uprising, a young pregnant woman and her boyfriend desperately search for safety.

Mother/Android a very confusing name for this film but when you finish the film you can maybe understand what it’s trying to do in the film. Having moments where you don’t know where the film takes you but with an ending that makes sense of it all.

Trying to bring two storylines in the film where you try to concentrate in the post-apocalyptic plot or the mother love plot. That is where one can get confused while watching this film even thou you can appreciate the story on what it was trying to show us as an audience that this was much more than a Thriller film.

The setting and how the cinematography was made was fascinating some scenes where made for one to enjoy the shot and as well the locations a very Horror/Thriller feel this film has and it’s a minor thing you see. A little misleading from the trailer of the film.

Chloe Grace and Algee Smith amazing performance from both cast members bringing to life these characters and as well putting us in the edge of the seat in some scenes. They are the ones that bring all the strength to this film.

I appreciate the message that this film brings. What are the things that we can sacrifice as a mother and parents in whole for our children. In this film we see the characters try to be parents and as well understand the sacrifice they have to make for their child to survive.

Mother/Android is a film to enjoy in the weekend and it will keep you in the edge of your seat. Two stories in one and as well a great performance from the cast. I would say Chloe gave life to this film and i would love to see what is next for her and the Writer and director of the film.
