When a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a run to memory lane and lots of fun and laughs. This film is not what I expected I was awaiting a send-off but it turned out to be something way better than what I had in mind. This film is a great look for the future of Ghostbusters.
The storyline in this film is very simple it is something that if you are a fan of the Classic Ghostbusters you will know where you have seen this story before. But still, this film has a slight touch of a difference they add to the story but is very slight. You can still enjoy the thrill ride.
Having new characters in this film was really nice and as well it was fun having a different take on how we present these characters. Mckenna Grace was the highlight of this film she was amazing in bringing this film to life not only her the whole cast was amazing in the film even Logan Kim’s “Podcast” did an amazing job bringing this character to life.
In this film you do enjoy the new things and the small little easter eggs that you find throughout the film and plus things that if you are a Ghostbusters fan will enjoy more. Plus I can say that if you take your family to this film and they don’t know who to call they will love this to go back to the classic film.
Another thing that I enjoyed in this film is that even though they do mention the classic Ghostbusters you don’t feel that they are just saying goodbye to them nor have that feeling that this film is a send-off to our heroes. Plus having that feeling that you are in a new world and what could be the future of the Ghostbusters.
The fun that you have in this film is phenomenal even though there is a sense that you feel that the film goes too fast and the plot is there but at the same time you notice that everything is moving fast and that there are not many explanations about certain things in the film.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a film for all the fans and family is a thrill ride where you enjoy laughter, action, and sadness. But still, you enjoy the presentation of all these new characters that can be the future of the Ghostbusters. Plus the two after-credit scenes are super fun and amazing.
